Let’s do Breakfast! Farmhouse Breakfast Week 22 – 28 January

Farmhouse Breakfast Week 2012 – 22nd to 28th January

The first post on my brand new shiny site is just as it should be, the first meal of the day for the first post! Farmhouse Breakfast week starts this weekend and I will be featuring a breakfast recipe a day throughout next week…….from a British classic of bacon and eggs to warm, creamy porridge and nutty muesli, it will all be here on Lavender and Lovage.  I will also be posting all about my move and the design later – why I moved and how I am finding it as a Word Press virgin.  Excuse any errors I may have made whilst I still get to grips with the new platform……but, for now, it’s breakfast time and here is all the information for Farmhouse Breakfast Week which starts this Sunday – dust of your frying pans and polish your cereal bowls, and get ready to enjoy the most important meal of the day.

Farmhouse Breakfast Week returns for its 13th year between 22nd – 28th January 2012 – so save the dates in your diary now.

Farmhouse Breakfast Week is an annual campaign run by HGCA which has been running since the year 2000. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast and demonstrate the variety of breakfast foods available in the UK.

The theme for the campaign is “Shake Up Your Wake Up” – make small changes to your morning routine to make sure you have time for breakfast every day.

All stages of the food chain, from farmers to food producers and retailers to consumers are being encouraged to hold events to promote the importance of starting the day with breakfast and to celebrate the wealth of wonderful breakfast produce available around the country.
